Press and Transfer Belts

These belts are used in the press section to increase dryness and improve sheet properties as well as in other sections of the machine to get better runability and enhance sheet qualities. Due to the high mechanical forces in a press and transfer belt polyamide monofilaments or twisted monofilaments are a logical solution.

The technical fabric in a press belt serves as a carrier and becomes coated with the polymer. The chemistry and physics around the yarn and the polymer are the key for success for process belts. Perlon-Monofil can assist in manufacturing yarns designed for that application.
